JOURNEYS WITH YOUR PEOPLE

A family vacation photographer
who travels with you.

Be in the photographs. Be part of the adventure. I join your family’s journey to capture the quiet moments, the discoveries, and the time you have made for one another.

Everyone belongs
in the story.

A multigenerational family vacation can bring grandparents, parents, and children together. An anniversary trip can mark twenty-five or fifty years of shared life. Either can be a chance for everyone to slow down. Having a photographer alongside you means the person who usually takes the pictures can be part of them, too.

As your private vacation photographer, I accompany your family for an extended weekend, a longer trip, or a meaningful part of a journey. We talk beforehand about the pace, the people, and when you would like space. The photographs can include an excursion, a long lunch, a quiet morning, and the landscape that will always remind you of being there.

A familiar presence,
from the beginning.

My approach is easygoing and attentive. I listen, adapt to the family’s plans, and know when to step forward and when to step away. A few photographs together can sit naturally alongside the candid moments.

Before the trip, we agree on coverage, privacy preferences, and travel arrangements. Your assistant or travel adviser is welcome to coordinate. Clients generally arrange travel and accommodations; staying nearby helps me follow the rhythm of the day, and the details can be flexible.

PERSONALLY DESIGNED BY ROBERT

A story to
return to.

I select the photographs and design the book myself, bringing together people, surroundings, and the small details that make the experience yours.

The journey comes home
as a finished book.

Every travel commission includes a museum-quality 10 × 13-inch book, personally designed by me and printed in the United States. I usually share the first design within two weeks of returning, so you experience the story before browsing the edited collection.

You can request changes through the online design review. The private gallery follows after you have had time with the book, usually a day or two later. Once you approve the design, printing generally takes four to six weeks. Additional copies can be arranged for family members or other homes.

You receive the finished, edited digital collection. Delivery can be through a password-protected gallery, your private drive, or a hard drive if you prefer to keep the photographs offline.

One trip can be enough.
Or it can be a beginning.

A single vacation is a complete commission. If the experience feels right for your family, I can return for future journeys and celebrations, subject to availability. One family’s wedding grew into sixteen years of photographing their lives, and I remain their personal photographer today.

Your photographs remain private unless you expressly authorize their use. The family photographs shown here are shared with permission.

An ongoing family relationship

A FEW PRACTICAL DETAILS

Before we begin.

Can we hire a photographer to travel with our family for one trip?

Yes. A single family vacation is a complete commission; an ongoing relationship is not required. I can join you for an extended weekend, a longer journey, or part of a trip. We agree on the dates and coverage around your plans and my availability.

How does photography fit into a luxury family vacation?

The photography follows your itinerary and the way your family likes to spend time. I can join you over several days, working with your travel advisor or personal assistant to agree on coverage, travel, and privacy. From time together at the house to an excursion or dinner, the photographs become a story in a book I personally design.

Will we spend our vacation posing for photographs?

My approach is to photograph the experience as it unfolds, from adventures to quiet moments together. We can make time for a few family photographs, too. Before the trip, we talk about what you want captured and when you would prefer time without a camera.

Do we receive digital photographs as well as the book?

Yes. You receive the finished, edited collection, not every frame taken. I personally curate a smaller selection for the book. Digital delivery can be through a password-protected gallery, your private drive, or a hard drive if you prefer an offline option.

When will we see the book, and can we request changes?

I usually share the first book design within two weeks of returning, before the digital gallery, so you can experience the story first. You can request changes through the online design review. The gallery follows after you have had time with the design, usually a day or two later. Printing generally takes four to six weeks after approval; additional copies can be arranged for family members or other homes.
