THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE IT MATTER

Private celebrations.
Personal photographs.

As your private event photographer, I photograph milestone birthdays, anniversary celebrations, and gatherings at home, with the same care I bring to a family journey.

Before the guests arrive.
After the evening settles.

I usually arrive about an hour before a party begins, giving me time to photograph the decor and details before the guests arrive. So much thought goes into a celebration: the table settings, the flowers, the colors, and the small touches that make it personal.

I photograph the entire party and often stay for the quieter time afterward, when close friends and family linger. We plan the coverage together so there is room for the whole story.

The laughter.
The people who were there.

Candid moments are at the heart of my work: people laughing, children carving pumpkins, friends singing carols, and the person being celebrated enjoying the day. I keep moving through the gathering, watching for what is happening and making photographs as it unfolds.

I also bring small groups together for a quick photograph. Those relaxed portraits help record the guests who shared the occasion, alongside the spontaneous moments that give it life. My aim is to photograph as many of the guests as I can while staying attentive to the family.

Small details.
Part of the story.

The decor photographs have a place in the book, too. A close-up of colorful forks might sit beside the cake photographs, carrying the colors and feeling of the party through the spread.

These details help connect the people, the setting, and the celebration. I photograph them for the family and, where sharing is agreed, for the planners and creative team whose work helped make the occasion.

Working with
your people.

I am comfortable coordinating with planners, assistants, and household teams. Before the event, we discuss the schedule, key relationships, any moments you particularly want photographed, and boundaries around privacy.

My experience includes photographing the weddings of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston and Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. The care I bring to a private celebration is personal: preparation, composure, and respect for the people who have invited me.

More meaningful
with every passing year.

After more than thirty years photographing families, I know how much the meaning of a photograph can change. A picture of a grandparent at a birthday party may become one of the family’s most treasured memories.

Over time, the people around the table change. The books give a family a way to sit together, remember someone they miss, and return to the celebrations they shared. Those faces remain part of the family’s history.

That is why I make a book after every event. The decor, the candid moments, the portraits, and the guests all belong to the same story.

The celebration,
personally made into a book.

I select the photographs and design every book myself. The first digital design is usually ready for review within one to two weeks of the event. You can request changes before approving it for print; the finished book generally takes four to six weeks after approval.

Additional copies can be arranged for family members. The finished, edited photographs are also delivered through a private gallery or an agreed offline method. Nothing is shared publicly without your express permission.

A FEW PRACTICAL DETAILS

Before we begin.

Do you work alone or bring an assistant?

Many of my clients prefer it to be just me, and I often photograph celebrations on my own. For larger parties, an assistant can be arranged when needed. We discuss the size of the gathering and your preferences beforehand.

Does every event include a book?

Yes. I personally curate the photographs and design a book after every event. The first digital design is usually ready within one to two weeks for your review. Printing follows your approval and generally takes another four to six weeks.

Can you photograph the days around a celebration?

Yes. Coverage can include preparations, time with family, the celebration itself, and the quieter moments around it. We discuss whether a single occasion or an extended weekend best fits what you want to remember.

Can our event planner or assistant coordinate with you?

Absolutely. I work comfortably alongside planners, assistants, and household teams. Before the event, we discuss the schedule, important people and moments, and any boundaries around photography.

Will our celebration appear on your website or social media?

Your photographs remain private unless you expressly authorize their use. We discuss publication preferences and any confidentiality agreement before the commission. The client photographs on this website are shared with permission.
